With the recent announcement that MotoGP will be returning with a new game in March of 2011, it comes as a surprise that the UK based company has just laid off a huge amount of employees and they have even canned an unannounced project.
“Due to an unexpected project cancellation Monumental has been forced to restructure its business which has resulted in a number of job losses. The company is saddened by the cuts and will provide the necessary support to those affected through the change.” – CEO Rik Alexander
It’s too early yet if this will have any affect on the new MotoGP game.
Moto GP started out in 1949. Since this sport hit the video game scene, THQ, Capcom and Namco have all worked in it.
