According to Inside Mobile Apps, Angry Birds Space is officially the No. 1 paid and No. 1 top-grossing app for the iPhone and iPad in nearly 30 countries, including US, China, Germany, France, India and the UK.
The latest version of Rovio’s ever-consuming iOS and Android game, in which towers of pilfering green pigs are toppled by vengeful fowl, has outdone the similarly addictive Draw Something by OMGPOP and Apple’s picture editing and sharing app, iPhoto.
This information seems to be contradicted by the Top Paid Apps overview by Apple itself, which lists Angry Birds Space as secondary to the omnipresent Draw Something. As far as the Top Grossing Apps radar reports, Angry Birds Space doesn’t appear to be a blip.
Having been released just yesterday and with word spreading about the gameplay’s new gravity-based dynamic, the numbers will inevitably show that global domination is surely in the stars for this new installment and unstoppable series.
