Square Enix Collective, a program set to help indie developers, has announced that their latest supported project, UnDungeon, was successfully funded with two weeks left to go. The Kickstarter campaign had an initial €50,000 goal which was surpassed last week.
With ten days left to go, additional funds will be put towards stretch goals. Among those stretch goals are not only content upgrades, but the opportunity for the game to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as well as PC.
UnDungeon will feature challenging fast-paced combat with beautiful hand-drawn pixel art, traditional role-playing mechanics, and rogue-like elements. The game will take players on a supernatural journey across a dynamic, procedurally-generated map as one of the seven Heralds, each of whom have come from a world destroyed by The Shift, a single dimension following a cataclysmic event.
While the campaign has been supported by the Square Enix community, to raise awareness of the project to a wider audience, the campaign is fully ran and owned by the developer, Laughing Machines.
