The Saints are Taking Over in Saints Row IV

The Third Street Saints are back in Saints Row IV and they are taking over the country. Literally.

With Volition being sold along with the Saints Row franchise, a new Saints Row game was up in the air, especially this soon. Along with Volition is Deep Silver, who together are bringing Saints Row IV to the current generation and PC this summer, August 20th.

Personally, I feel like naming my Saint Camacho because you play as the President of the United States! Steelport was never enough for the Saints. However, with running a country does come irresponsibility. You’ll gain super powers but those powers will have to be used towards fighting an alien invasion lead by Zinyak. Saints Row IV seems to be a mix of what makes Saints Row so great, along with some Crackdown. You’ll be able to leap over buildings, use alien weapons and overall be a super hero god or goddess. The open world is back, along with the fast cars and bizarre weapons.

A while back, a standalone DLC was announced, dubbed Saints Row 3: Enter the Dominatrix. That was canned and instead created into a DLC for Saints Row IV, which allows us to believe that Saints Row IV has been in the works for some time, at least we hoped. Having a solid date for Saints Row IV for the summer does seem a bit rushed but in reality, SR4 could have been in the works ever since Enter the Dominatrix was axed.

The icing on the cake would be if all the voice actors from the previous games return. Stick to the Game Fanatics for all your Saints Row IV news as well as their website and Twitter feed.
