PlayStation VR is almost here but you can quell that burning anticipation by stopping by the newly opened Sony Square NYC in the Flatiron District. Try your best shot at The London Heist or confound yourself with the highly addictive Super Hyper Cube, 2 of 6 readily available demos right at your fingertips.
One of the best demos is Battlezone, a re-imagining of the classic arcade game of the same name, where you use the Dualshock 4 to commandeer a tank and shoot down other tanks in a heavily stylized, Tron-like universe. It’s a treat for the eyes as you move about, maneuvering through explosions and facing flying adversaries which just adds to the excitingly chaotic gameplay.
Sony Square NYC also offers an impressive assortment of conceptual innovations as well as fun, out-of-the-box products like their LED Bulb Speakers or their extremely subtle Glass Sound Speaker which generates crystal clear sound from a glass tube all while serving as a kind of lantern to set the mood just right.
Oh and by the way, they have the Bound demo from Plastic Studios, a highly-anticipated title which has yet to release. Bound hits PSN on August 16th 2016 so go play now.
