PlayStation VR 2 Design Revealed

PlayStation VR2

The second iteration of the PlayStation VR was announced last year but now we finally get a look at the new updated design. Overall, the design is not that different from the PSVR 1. Sticking with some of the design that we see with the PS5, this new headset is almost completely white. This is a cleaner look than what we saw with the PSVR 1. Overall, the shape is similar to the Meta Quest 2 headset and it now has 4 cameras on the outside of the device.

The biggest changes come with the internals which we talked about HERE and the controllers. The controllers have been completely redesigned and resemble those that you would see from other VR headset manufacturers. Much like the PSVR2 Pulse controller, the headset has an orb like design. The design language translates from the console to the other hardware and devices Sony has released.

We are really looking forward to the release of the new PlayStation VR2 headset which we assume will be releasing this year as long as there are no additional issues with supply chain.
