Ni No Kuni II Slips To 2018

Another casualty in the delays of gaming! This time, Ni No Kuni II

Developer Level-5 announced that their highly anticipated sequel, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, has been delayed by two months; pushing the game from its original November 10th release date to January 19th 2018 for PS4 and PC.

The president and CEO of LEVEL-5 Inc, Akihiro Hino, revealed the unfortunate news in a statement. If you’re fluent in Japanese, enjoy the video above, otherwise, here’s the gist of the statement:

We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologize to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying.

Additionally, Hino-san also clarifies that this sequel will not feature any online components.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2011 PS3 RPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. This sequel tells the story of a young king, Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, who has been ousted from his castle and is on a quest to reclaim what’s rightfully is.
