Citadel: Forged With Fire Announced For Current-Gen Consoles

With the PC version set to launch on Steam Early Access later this month, on July 26th to be exact, Blue Isle Studios has also confirmed a PS4 and Xbox One version for their newest gaming venture: Citadel: Forged With Fire.

The new project from the same team that brought you Slender: The Arrival and Valley is a massive online sandbox RPG that takes place in a fictional world dubbed Ignus and features a healthy mix of spellcasting, building, crafting, exploration and magic. The game will give players the opportunity to become a wizard hunter, tame beasts such as horses, dragons, orcs; just to name a few. Also having the chance to create alliances with other players to become an unstoppable group of Conjurers all the while unraveling a rich and intriguing history.

Blue Isle Studios also promises a bevvy of environments to explore: plains, forests swamps, frozen tundra; among others. Additionally, thanks to your character’s awesome wizard skills, players will also be able to fly using a plethora of ways such as using a simple broomstick or be a complete badass by riding an eagle or even a dragon!

Take cover from opposing band of Conjurers, players will be able to build castles and protect them using their magic skills. The developer also indicates a bevvy of character customization to tailor them to the players’ wish.

Here’s what Alex Tintor, managing director of Blue Isle Studios, had to say:

“Citadel is a completely new genre for us, our biggest goal with this title is to work closely with our community to build the ultimate fantasy sandbox game that is playable online with friends. This project has been a labor of love and we are excited for its launch onto Early Access this summer.”
