Next Rocket League Update Hits July 5th

Developer Psyonix has revealed new details about the next update coming to their smash hit, Rocket League.currently set for a July 5th release.

The content update, which will be made available during the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season Three World Championship,  will include a bevvy of new features. These will include a new arena, Champions Field, which will be available in Competitive, Casual and Private matches.

The developer also revealed two new rides: Animus GP and Centio V17, both of which will be available exclusively as drops inside the new Overdrive Crate. For those who enjoy fiddling with their vehicle’s appearance will be happy to know that Psyonix will also add new customization options such as Engine Audio and Goal Explosions just to name a few. The new customization options will be obtained via Crate drops.

The developer also plans on adding six new Achievements and Trophies which can be found here.

The content update will also bridge the conclusion of Season 4 and the launch of Season 5 and introduce Rocket League Radio which will add 18 news songs from the Monstercat record label.

This upcoming update will be available during the week of the game’s second anniversary, which is July 7th. Since the game launched in 2015, more than 31 million players played over 1.45 billion matches across all platforms.
