Many are wondering what they were looking at when they seen zombies and shots of characters from Yakuza. Well wait no more as details have slowly surfaced and are making more sense.
Yakuza: Of the End is not Yakuza 4 or 5 but a branch off of the series itself. But we do know it’ll have zombies, which seems to be all the rage these days in video games (Thanks Call of Duty!)
While video popped up last week at TGS and left mouths dropped and many scratching their heads, get some details below.
• Of the End takes place in a Kamurocho
• Kamurocho quickly becomes infested with zombies, causing Japan’s Self Defence Force to close the district off and leave the remaining survivors for dead.
• Four gangsters from previous Yakuza games (including series hero Kazuma Kiryu), will be in the game.
• Kazuma’s adopted daughter Haruka has been kidnapped
• The “Heat Action” finishing moves from the series have been replaced by “Heat Snipe” moves, which grant increased accuracy with guns when launched
• Each character has a different weapon with which they are most proficient: calm Kazuma is a rifle expert, while nutjob Goro Majima is best with shotguns
• You can play some arcade games in Club Sega, hang out in batting cages, or even perform karaoke, in the midst of a zombie invasion.
