Bloodborne and it’s DLC have come and left a trail of frustrated gamers and brutal beatdowns in its wake. The series now turns it’s attention to the pages of a new comic from Titan Comics. Titan Comics has announced that it is partnering with Sony to further build out the Bloodborne universe. The comic, titled Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep, is scheduled to release in February 2018.
Although many die hard fans of the game are hoping for another installment sooner rather than later; the comic hopes to scratch that Bloodborne itch. The comic is deeply rooted in the lore of the game featuring familiar places and creatures. Most importantly, the comic is being worked on by fans of the game, not just hired guns, so to speak.
Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep will be written by Ales Kot with art by Piotr Kowalski, who has previous drawn video game adaptions Wolfenstein and Dark Souls for Titan Comics.
In speaking about working on the comic, Ales Kot said:
“Bloodborne is one of my all-time favorite games. I put close to two hundred hours into playing it and researching its universe, and that was before I even knew there would be a comic — I was obsessed..”
The comic will focus on a nameless hunter battling dark creatures in the cursed city of Yharnam. In addition to all of the horrific beasts and creatures that populate the game expect lots of accompanying blood and gore. Let’s just hope they somehow manage to illustrate those parry moves that felled so many of us!
