Mass Effect: Andromeda is Arriving to EA/Origin Access

Andromeda

EA has just shared the line-up of games that EA and Origin Access subscribers will soon enjoy. This list is for the remainder of the year and it includes Mass Effect: Andromeda as one of its biggest titles.

To say that Mass Effect: Andromeda has been controversial would be an understatement. Released back in March, the next installment of BioWare’s Sci-Fi iconic saga failed to meet the expectations of all the original trilogy lovers. The notorious bugs and multiple issues that started right after launch did not help reviews nor sales at all. The passing of the year has only confirmed what many suspected: that BioWare has granted a hiatus to the Mass Effect universe and moved to something else. Meaning, the chances of going back and kick some arses with a Krogan companion are sort of small. At least, in the short run.

While the game cannot parallel the accomplishments of the original trilogy, post-release updates have generally improved issues and performance. In its defense, the game still scores 72% on Metacritic and has some interesting combat gameplay mechanics. So you may want to give it a shot if you are an EA or Origin Access subscriber.

But there’s more. If you are on Xbox One, you have two other games to look forward to. The Sims 4 will be getting a Play First Trial while Dead Space 3 joins the virtual vault alongside its predecessors. This means that you can already enjoy the entire Dead Space franchise through EA and Origin Access.

On top of that, there are extra Play First Trials for two great upcoming titles: Star Wars Battlefront II and Need for Speed: Payback. EA has not confirmed the contents nor the duration of that of Battlefront II, while we know that Payback will be playable for 10 hours, the standard timeline. Both of them will be accessible somewhen before their respective launch dates. No final date has been confirmed so far though.
