MARVEL VS. CAPCOM ORIGINS Launch Dates Confirmed

CAPCOM is pleased to announced that MARVEL VS. CAPCOM ORIGINS will be available to download in North America on the PlayStation Network on September 25th for $14.99 and on Xbox LIVE Arcade on September 26th for 1200 Microsoft Points.

For those of you who don’t know, MARVEL VS. CAPCOM ORIGINS is a combination of two of the most popular arcade fighting games of the ’90s (Marvel Super Heros and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heros). While this game will stay true to the roots of it’s classic games, Capcom has added a whole new set of features that will be sure to tap into today’s online needs while keeping it’s nostalgia.

MARVEL VS. CAPCOM ORIGINS will offer the same one-on-one gameplay as Marvel Super Heroes did with it’s Infinity Gem system and the two-on-two onslaught of the original Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, featuring it’s tag system, assists and crazy Duo Team Attack that I hated. In addition, ORIGINS is adding a GGPO-enhanced online play with 8-player lobbies, spectator mode, HD graphics, dynamic challenges and replay saving.

It brings back a lot of memories playing games such as these and with the addition of the online features, it’s sure to make one outstanding punch on the market again. MARVEL VS. CAPCOM ORIGINS will be available late September on both the PSN and XBLA.
