New Mafia III Trailer Introduces the Mentors of Lincoln Clay

Mafia III

2K Games and Hanger 13 have unveiled more details about the two forces that will shape Lincoln Clay’s destiny in Mafia III: Father James and Jon Donovan, redemption vs retaliation.

Over the last couple of weeks pass we’ve gotten a better glimpse of the carousel of personalities that belong to the city of New Bordeaux and to the life of its main protagonist, Lincoln Clay. Two days ago the narrative team commented on the figure of Thomas Burke, head of the Irish Mob, and today it is Father James and Jon Donovan’s turn. The line-up of charismatic folks includes as well the Voodoo Queen, also known as Cassandra, and Vito Scaletta, the protagonist of Mafia 2. All of them trying are trying to survive in a corrupted metropolis. All of them have the same objective: to take the Italian mob down.

Mafia III: Different Worlds Coming Together

In the latest trailer, two paths are revealed for Lincoln Clay. Father James stands for redemption and is the spiritual oasis for Clay. Mr Donovan, however, tells a different story. His is the tale of vengeance, the unquenchable quest for retaliation. These two big forces will shape the fate of Lincoln and with it, the destiny of the whole city. We will probably see less of these two than Lincoln’s other allies, Cassandra, Burke and Vito. Still, it will be interesting to see how these two forces play out in the story’s background.

Mafia III is arriving for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 7. It tells the story of a young Vietnam veteran, Lincoln Clay, who returns from the war only to see his mob betrayed by the Italian mafia that runs the city of New Bordeaux. The story will follow Lincoln as he pursues vengeance and see him build a brand new gang to take all his enemies down.

Like with the previous titles of the franchise, Mafia III brings a thriving open world environment, tons of gunplay and stylish car driving. Get ready for some serious jazz tunes and the typical round-the-clock nightlife of the 60s. New Bordeaux is the fictionalized version of New Orleans and 2K Games has already commented on the size and level of detail of its environments. To sum it up, the last installment of the series is looking pretty awesome and in The Game Fanatics we cannot wait to finally lay our hands on this one. What about you?
