Juri Arrives On Street Fighter V Next Week | SDCC 2016

SDCC 2016 is in full swing and it was revealed today at one of Capcom’s panels that Juri Han, first introduced in Street Fighter IV, will be playable come next week.

Juri is Street Fighter V‘s next DLC character and is set to be released on July 26th, which turns out to be next Tuesday. I’m sure there’s an M. Bison joke to be made here. Anyway, players will be able to purchase Juri with either Fight Money or real world currency at 5 P.M PDT. Along with getting the next character, players gain access to her story section and her premium costumes as well.

For those of whom don’t know about Juri, she is a devious woman that has the deadly skills of Taekwondo to back up her bark. Just like in Street Fighter IV, Juri is all about those “flashy, fast and furious kicks, which she uses to confuse and overwhelm her opponent. She also has projectile-based attacks to keep opponents at a distance or to extend combos.

A big shout out goes to Capcom Unity for the in-depth details on Juri’s combat abilities at her disposal:

V-Skill:

Kasatsushu: Juri builds charges up and rushes at the opponent, kicking them from behind. Juri can choose to charge Kasatsushu by holding down the V-Skill command. During this charge, she can cancel Kasatsushu at any time by inputting a forward or backward dash. Additionally, she maintains her charge level after the cancel.

V-Trigger

Feng Shui Engine Type Alpha: Juri activates the Feng Shui Engine which allows her to cancel all of her standard attacks, both in the air and on the ground, into one another. In addition, each strength of her Fuharenkyaku attacks will remain in their charged state.

Critical Art:

Sakkai Fuhazan: Juri kicks out a large slicing blast towards the opponent that hits multiple times.

Attendees at SDCC can try Juri out at the Street Fighter V booth a week both she is released to the public.

Juri isn’t the only thing arriving on Street Fighter V come Tuesday. For $3.99 USD, players can purchase Summer outfits for Laura, Ibuki and Cammy. Other fighters who have gotten the beach time treatment are Chun-Li, Karin and R. Mika.
