Three Days of Streaming – War of the Roses – 8pm EST

The Game Fanatics continues Three Days of Streaming on Day 2 with Paradox Interactive’s upcoming War of the Roses, a third-person medieval brawler with some awesome finishing moves. Seriously. Dagger to the face kind.

If you’re unfamiliar with the title, War of the Roses is like a mix between the combat in Mount and Blade and Call of Duty. There is a single player campaign too, but it’s not available in the beta, and I predict that most players will be spending most of their time in multiplayer anyway.

You start the game with the only the Footman class available, which is a medium armored sword and shield wielder, a nice starting place for the intricacies of the combat in War of the Roses. As you gain experience for making kills or capturing points in the game, you’ll unlock other classes, including the Longbowman, Crossbowman, Footknight, and a few others, including mounted cavalry.

You can also customize each and every piece of equipment to your individual play style.  It’s really a deep system and one that has a fairly steep learning curve, but it fits into a niche that isn’t really filled by much else, and it’s done pretty well.

So definitely drop by The Game Fanatics’ TwitchTv and watch the live stream tonight at 8pm EST!

Tomorrow, we stream Just Cause 2, and I plan on blowing up a LOT of stuff!
