THQ is continuing their corporate restructuring as they continue to recover from all of the blows they’ve suffered recently. Executive Vice President of Core Games Danny Bilson, who came to THQ in 2008, has resigned to “pursue other interests.” Taking his spot is Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin, who’s responsible for creating some of the classic games of the previous generations, notably Crash Bandicoot (which I wish we could get an HD remake of). Not much was said about Danny Bilson’s departure, despite him being a major part of the company the past few years, being very out-spoken on different topics such as the Wii being “a Monopoly box in a closet.”
The only statement that THQ gave on Danny Bilson, “Danny has made significant contributions to THQ, and we thank him for his efforts.” Troubling times for THQ continue.
