Namco Bandai has official announced that a collectors edition of Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is going to be available on the game’s release. Chronicles is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the original Game Cube title, as well as its sequel Dawn of the New World, with fully updated HD graphics. For fans of the series, this collectors edition comes with a hefty dose of incentives. We’re talking about:
- An exclusive set of five Chibi Kyun Chara figurines from Tales of Symphonia and Dawn of the New World.
- A paperback novel (Absolutely serious…) detailing the events between both games.
- A multi-disc soundtrack,
- Special collector’s edition box, complete with artwork from Japanese animation studio Ufotable.
Don’t be a slouch though. Namco Bandai has also announced that only 15,000 copies of the Collector’s Edition will be released, start at $99.95 (and you know that’s only going to go up if you try and buy one second hand).
“We are happy to be bringing Tales of Symphonia Chronicles to North American fans in 2014 with a feature-packed Collector’s Edition,” said Chris Gilbert, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Namco Bandai Games America Inc. “The Tales of Symphonia Collector’s Edition is a fantastic offer for Tales OF fans looking for something extra special to add to their gaming room.”
So get back in the saddle (or ya know, give it a whirl for the first time if you missed the original release). Go save Tethe’alla, collect monsters, foil plots for world domination, and solve ancient mysteries. This time all in HD.
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles will be available to western audiences as early as 2014.
