New Max Payne 3 DLC is a Deathmatch Made in Heaven

Rockstar has announced the release of the last DLC for Max Payne 3, the “Deathmatch Made in Heaven Pack”. Available now on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and PC, the pack includes five game modes full of new weapons, items, achievements and trophies to feed your need for more of the action-packed third person shooter.

The name “Deathmatch Made in Heaven” accurately depicts the dichotomous nature of its game modes, which are both cooperative and competitive.

Mow down enemies from the opposition as Saci, the stealthy and tireless enemy of Captain Baseball Bat Boy, in a mode called “Run and Stun. Armed with a Stun Gun and Flash Bangs. Once Saci has killed a member of the other team, the defeated player joins forces with his. The round either ends with the expiration of a timer or when Saci has “stolen” all of the opposite team’s players.

Dead Men Walking” is a co-op rendition of the original Dead Man Walking Mode in which two players, Max and Passos face off with rivals far more difficult in terms of ammunition, intellect and stamina. Fending for themselves against these foes as they come in waves, the objective is to earn Grit, which unlocks weapons, pain killers, weapon attachments, and other parts of the map.

Test your skills at shooting straight from the hip with “Time Attack” mode. The quicker you score a kill, the more credit you get. Full credit is 10 points for every fatal hit within 2 seconds on the kill timer. Every two seconds that lapses beyond that will cost you one point, which is a great challenge for those who don’t take their time taking someone down.

In a Deathmatch-style mode similar to “Time Attack”, “Marked Man” players can earn XP for taking on the obstacles of Max Payne 3’s Vendetta system. Each completed Vendetta rewards the player with five points, and if you get out alive, it’s another five.

The last mode that you’ll get with this awesome pack is “Checkpoint Challenge”, a casual challenge for your hand-eye coordination that involves the precision and agility to wipe out all of your enemies via head shot or explosive skills only by the time you reach the level’s checkpoint.

All of this content is just a download away on Xbox Live for 800 MS points, and $9.99 for PC and PlayStation Network for gamers in the US. Those in Europe with a PS3 only have a week longer to wait, and if you have a Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass, the Deathmatch Made in Heaven Pack” comes to you for free. (If you don’t have the Rockstar Pass, you can still swoop it up for 2400 MS Points or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network, respectively.)

Be sure to head over to Rockstar’s official website for more details about individual weapons  and game modes.
