The days to this year’s London Comic-Con are counting down quickly, and the list of things to see and do is growing at a ridiculous rate. Join me as we take a look at some of the more recent goodies!
First up to bat is Namco Bandai, with a huge slate of awesome announcements that’ll keep you busy throughout the whole weekend. Namco are offering you the dance to demo some of their biggest titles for this year, including;
DARK SOULS – Get a hands on experience with the spiritual successor to FROM software’s epic Demons Souls, jump first hand into the hardcore combat, in-depth RPG elements, and stunning atmospheres that make this one of 2011’s must play games.
SOULCALIBUR V – This is the latest edition to the epic saga, you’ll be able to get a first hand look at the new characters as well as some returning favorites. Set 17 years after the events of Soulcalibur IV, this is a jump forward for the critically acclaimed weapons-based fighting game.
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: ULTIMATE NINJA STORM GENERATIONS – A long title that doesn’t exactly roll of the tongue, but a name that’s synonymous with fast paced anime beat-em ups. You’ll be able to delve into the vast array of playable characters that span every generation of the Naruto Saga alongside the expanded online functionality.
DRAGON BALL Z: ULTIMATE TENKAICHI – The iconic series gets new life with this latest iteration. This game features a brand new character creation mode alongside the already well established character list.
SAINT SEIYA: SANCTUARY BATTLE – Anime fans will also want to get their hands on Saint Seiya: Santuary Battle, a gripping new fighting game that sees Seiya and his companions battle side by side over 12 levels to defeat the gold saints and protect Athena.
Other titles that Namco Bandai will be demoing at London Comic Con include RIDGE RACER UNBOUNDED and BEN 10 GALACTIC RACING. Still want more? I thought so, well the fine folks over at PQube have got you more than covered.
The groundbreaking fighter series BlazBlue is set to expand, and London MCM will be one of the first chances to fest your eyes on BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2. The game is set to release on the Nintendo 3DS and Sony PSP. As well as tantilizing your eyes with such a glorious spectacle, PQube have laid out a whole host of events to keep you suitably entertained.
PQube is laying on a series of special events throughout the show weekend, including:
• An Arcana Heart 3 tournament on Saturday 29 October;
• A BlazBlue Continuum Shift tournament on Sunday 30 October;
• Limited edition prize packs for the best players at each of the tournaments;
• MCM exclusive merchandise available to buy at the PQube booth; and
• Arcana Heart 3 and BlazBlue Continuum Shift casual sessions open to all.
Tournament registration for Saturday and Sunday is now open and you can register here. Entry is free, but all participants must register by 12pm on the day of the tournament. You are welcome to bring your own arcade sticks.
