The Zune Marketplace on XBL is currently down for system maintenance. Could this mean that the new additions to XBL that were announced at E3 could be starting as early as today? Microsoft did announce the new XB360 and the same day it was set to be sold, so seeing a change in XBL shortly after E3 isn’t that much of a surprise but it is nice to see.
The new changes with Zune Marketplace on XBL will allow Zune Pass members to access their songs over XBL without having to connect their Zune to the system. The Zune Pass is $14.99 a month and allows users to access and download as much music as they want.
Hopefully this downtime for Zune is just that. Perhaps in 24 hours we will see a new feature on XBL for those who own a Zune.
