The Next Xbox Is Codenamed….Durango?

Once you say something on the internet, you can never hide it. Especially when it comes to rumors.

That’s the lesson of the day for Crytek‘s Sean Tracy, who is apparently at a Durango summit in London. While his Tweet was quickly deleted, again, the internet is there to save us with a screenshot:

Now, for those of you out there saying “what basis do you have for this being the name of the new Xbox console,” I point you to this report by Kotaku.

With Nintendo‘s new console, the Wii U, set to launch later this year and Sony‘s new handheld, the PS Vita, having just launched, Microsoft may be feeling the need to make a hardware splash. Perhaps at this year’s E3? Reports have indicated that development kits are already in production.

Quite frankly, if we don’t have a reveal of a new Xbox console within the next six months, I’ll be shocked.
