The Women in Games Conference event will enjoy its fifth installment at University of Westminister the second of September of this year.
The Women in Games Conference has finally announced their date, location, and lineup for this year’s event. The event is set at the University of Westminister in London for the second of September and people are already able to buy tickets for 50 pounds. However, that offer will soon be invalid and tickets will cost 95 pounds (hence why should buy tickets right now from the organizer’s website).
This year the conference will concentrate on the best ways to obtain skills and contacts to work and thrive within the game industry. It will include a variety of workshops, panels, and guest speakers as most years that will generally centre around the topic. This is what one of the Jenny Richars Steward, Women in Games CEO, had to say about it:
“This year’s conference programme is shaping up to be our best yet, in terms of content which will help delegates’ fast track their careers in the games industry. We wanted to focus on practical subjects and have also introduced workshops covering the main disciplines of games development. As always we have tried to keep the ticket prices as low as possible so that it is within the reach of students, entry level delegates and those working for small start-ups and Indies. I am looking forward to revealing more details of the conference programme in due course. We will also be announcing some exciting initiatives from Women in Games over the next few weeks.”
Some of the guest speakers this year will include Ukie chair Andy Payne, Small Jelly CTO Vicky Smalley, and the MD of StoryTech Life, Claire Tavernier. Women in Games has worked for years to help young female videogame enthusiasts achieve their dreams. Certainly an interesting conference to look out for.
