Look, Microsoft hasn’t been too kind to PC gamers with their Games for Windows initiative, an attempt to integrate the Xbox Live experience on the PC that has, arguably, failed completely. Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, is looking to completely change that, announcing on his blog that Windows 8 will feature the same Xbox Live experience we know and love on our Xbox 360 consoles to the PC with Xbox Live on Windows.
Sorry, but you’ll have to excuse any excitement I have over this after, again, experience Games for Windows. Though, I do like what I’ve already seen from the screenshot and demonstration from the Microsoft BUILD conference about the ease of developing games on Windows 8 and integrating them with Xbox Live…damnit, I just got myself excited.
