Watch: Undertale is Coming to PS4 and Vita

Toby Fox’s 2015 critical indie hit, Undertale, is finally coming to consoles. Better yet, it also includes a very tempting limited Collector’s Edition.

The latest trailer, quietly uploaded near the end of E3, for the game’s debut on Sony’s platform does a great job of selling the game’s humor and tone. Running around an underground society full of monsters that can be equally terrifying and adorable. An RPG where you are encouraged not to kill anyone, but understand and empathize with your enemies. And a sense of humor based on visual gags, puns, and exaggeration.

But Undertale on PS4 has a bit more going for it than just a simple port job. The game will also include an official Japanese localization, so JRPG fans in the land of the rising sun can see what all the fuss is about. Also, thanks to a collaboration with Fan Gamer, there will be a Collector’s Edition of the game. It will include the usual special edition bonuses of an art book, steel case, and soundtrack, as well as an impressive looking golden heart-shaped locket with a working music box inside.

Not to mention the game will also be coming to the underappreciated Sony handheld, the PlayStation Vita.

No concrete details have been given about the game’s release date or how much each version of the game will cost, but the official Undertale website does have a sign-up sheet for a newsletter to let you know when pre-orders will be open.

Considering how much critical praise this indie darling received at launch, if you have somehow missed out on this experience for one reason or another, this seems like a perfect opportunity to see what the fuss is about.
