We got the chance to visit with Epic Games as they showcased the currently-in-beta and soon free-to-play Fortnite.
Their booth at PAX West had a series of PCs playing Fortnite set up in a row, allowing players to compete for a chance to smack a real life Loot Llama (in piñata form of course. No real llamas were harmed). Zak Phelps from Epic took a few minutes to discuss the game, where the idea for it came from, new modes, and some of his favorite weapons in the game.
Watch the video above and if you’re feeling the need for some epic building and zombie slaying, you can grab Fortnite in early access now. Also, if you’re looking for a console based response to Player Unknown ‘s Battle Grounds, Fortnite just went live with their Battle Royale mode which allows for some very similar PvP fun.
