Undead Labs Hint At Possible 'Class 3' Release Date

If you’ve been paying attention to Undead Labs upcoming title Class 3, then you’re already excited. If you haven’t then here’s what you need to know. Undead Labs are working on an open world zombie title that could be a welcome breath of air into a somewhat stagnant genre.

The studio has a habit of regularly posting updates on their website that go into the specifics of the games development, touhcing on subjects like art style and the general direction of the game. The latest post however, may have left us with something a little more tangible.

The most recent post, in the form of a hypothetical survivor diary, gave us an interesting quote that could point to a possible release window.

We’d finished Class3 about a week before the outbreak hit

The ‘diary’ starts march 20th, shaving off the week that’s mentioned in the excerpt and allowing some time in either direction. This gives a possible release window of Q1, the problem is picking a year. Undead Labs are keeping tight lipped about any timeline for the games release. An optimist would pick Q1 2012 for release, but it’s just as likely that it could be penciled in for Q1 2013. Right now it’s all up in the air, but if Undead Labs keep trickling out information like this then something concrete is bound to crop up sooner or later.

For a full rundown of the most recent Undead Labs ‘Survivor Diary’ post check out this article, it takes an in-depth speculative look at the cryptic messages. For more information on Class 3 head over to the studio’s website.
