Sony’s 2012 Tokyo Game Show press conference had many great announcements, including the unveiling of their much rumored new PlayStation 3 model. The PlayStation 3 Super Slim model was announced in black and white, although the white version of the console has only been confirmed for Japan release.
Sony says that the super slim model has 20 percent less internal volume and is 25 percent lighter than the slim.
There will be different versions of the PlayStation 3 Super Slim in different regions.
In North America, beginning September 25, 2012, consumers will be able to purchase a 250gb bundle that includes Uncharted 3 and Dust 514, along with $30 worth of downloadable content for Dust 514, at the price of $269.99. Then October 30, 2012 Sony will be releasing a 500gb model for $299.99.
European and PAL Territories will be receiving a different line up starting with a 12gb flash memory model. Prices are 299 Euros on October 12th, AUD $299.95 on September 27th, and NZD $399.95 on October 18th. The 500gb bundle will be releasing on September 28th for 299 Euros, $399.95 AUD and $519.95 NZD (September 27th AZD).
Last but not least, Japan will receive both the 250gb and 500gb bundles on October 4th for 24,900 for the 250gb and 29,800 Yen for the 500gb.
