Tales From the Borderlands Finale Swings in This Month

Tales From the Borderlands

Tales From the Borderlands, with its ultimate episode, winds down on the sun-drenched surface of Pandora.

The dangers of hunting a vault have been well documented during Telltale’s episodic journey through Rhys and Fiona’s attempts to do just that. Starting on October 20, players will be able to see the final result of their flailing, off-the-wall quest in the fifth episode of the series entitled The Vault of the Traveler. Sony platforms, PC, and Mac will have first grabs followed by Xbox One and 360 the day after with Android and iOS players finding this tales From the Borderlands loot on October 22.

Telltale’s reveal trailer for this news includes a series summary full of spoilers for anyone that hasn’t played the episodes thus far. Most of the trailer is dedicated to the build-up of the news that the first episode, called Zer0 Sum, is now free across all available platforms. The last few seconds even offers a glimpse at some gargantuan creature that may or may not be the Traveler itself this entire adventure has been leading to. Feel free to check out the trailer below with all the spoiler warnings you care to observe.

As our review for episode four mentioned, Tales From the Borderlands has plenty of answers to spill with only one real answer given in Escape Plan Bravo. The gang hasn’t found themselves in much position for a quick resolution to their issues, as one might think given the drama of episodic series, so how Telltale brings all of the strings together will be interesting to witness.

The Vault of the Traveler runs amuck beginning October 20 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android devices. Although Telltale hasn’t announced their plans yet, a retail collection of Tales From the Borderlands is almost certainly on the way as well.
