ABC has given the go for a pilot episode for the TV series titled S.H.I.E.L.D.. This is the live-action series based within the Marvel universe. It is already known that Joss Whedon will be part of this project and we now know that he will be directing the pilot episode. Not only that, but his brother Jed Whedon and Jed’s wife Maurissa Tancharoen will also be helping out with this series. This could be a great sign that this live action Marvel TV show might have a shot, especially with those who are attaching themselves to it.
What is still unknown is what time frame this series will take place. Will it take the Marvel movies into consideration? Could we see the return of Agent Coulson? Either way, this slight bit of news is a fantastic step in the right direction.
