Once comic readers and geeks alike saw Avengers for the first time, we all hoped to not only get a sequel but that Joss Whedon would be back. After rumors and speculation, that fantasy is now a reality. Joss Whedon has been signed by Disney to write and direct the Avengers sequel. Can Whedon strike gold twice and deliver us another great super hero movie? We won’t know for sure until Summer 2015, when Avengers 2 is projected to be released.

ABC has been in talks about a live action Avengers TV series that will revolve around the Marvel movies and Whedon will be involved with the development of that. What that TV show will be about can only be theorized at this moment. Most fans are already thinking that the TV show could be about SHIELD as they search for more heroes.
