If you’re a fan of the historical-fiction series, Spartacus, then, boy have I got some fantastic news for you. The critically acclaimed hack and slash game, based on the TV series, is getting a brand new sequel called Spartacus Legends.
The new game will feature thousands of new weapons, armor, and customizable character combos to satisfy every Spartacus fan’s heart. In addition to customizing your own character, players will also be able to play as Liam Mclntyre, as Spartacus, and Crixus.
Those weapons are nothing without anyone to fight, and Ubisoft is promising a robust skill system so players will have fun tearing up their friends in the arena over online matches and even offline matches.
Liam, himself, voices his character and has had some creative input from them game, so authenticity seems to be there.
Attendees of of Comic Con 2012 will also be the first to get some hands-on time with the game from Thursday, July 12, through the 15th.
The TV series has been airing for three seasons and has a final season planned for 2013 called War of the Damned. Sparticus Legends is also launching on PSN and XBLA in 2013, so make sure to keep an eye out for the game if ruthless killing and dismembering historical-fiction figures interests you.
