Sony Reminds Fans of its 24 Announced Playstation 4 Exclusives

This week Sony released a commercial as a final push for its November 15 launch of the Playstation 4. The commercial highlights the Playstation 4’s 24 confirmed system exclusives, a handful of which will be available at launch.

Sony will look to Killzone Shadow Fall as its established franchise to drive console sales early on.Several retailers bundled the Playstation 4 with Guerilla Games‘ upcoming FPS to help drive over 1.5 million console pre-orders — according to industry expert Michael Pachter.

Sony has also frequently shown off its action platformer Knack, developed by SCE Japan (Puppeteer, Deep Down), to provide an alternative to shooters that can be picked up in stores.

Several Sony exclusives such as Resogun, Flower, and Switch Galaxy Ultra will be available for download on November 15 as well. Gamers can expect to have 33 different games to play on PS4 on November 15, as Sony confirmed at Gamescom 2013.

The Playstation 4’s 24 exclusives are coming from 14 different developers, many of which have succeeded with Sony on its other systems. Studios such as Sucker Punch (Infamous: Second Son), Evolution Studios (DriveClub), and Sony Santa Monica (The Order: 1886) will play integral roles in the Playstation IV’s success post-launch in 2014.

180 games are currently in development for the Playstation 4. It’s possible some of those remaining games could become system exclusives, too.

Apart from console and Sony exclusives, Sony is also pushing hard for multiplatform games that will have system-exclusive content such as Ubisoft‘s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch Dogs and TT GamesLego Marvel Super Heroes.

You can check out more of the Playstation IV’s offerings in the commercial below; keep in mind the end of the video shows the Playstation IV’s release data in Europe and Austrailia, November 29.
