Sony Announces Play On With Sony Rewards

If you have a Playstation system or you enjoy the plethora of luxury Sony branded products from their Bravia TVs to their Vaio computers, Play On Rewards will make you love them more!Play On is a reward system that pays you back for purchasing Sony Playstation products through a number of different retail channels on the internet and in store. It’s kind of like what Nintendo does with Club Nintendo, except this is on a way bigger scale; Play On works in concert with Sony rewards to offer you points back for buying all Sony products, earning you more point for non-game related products on top of gaming products.

This means that if you’re a gamer who occasionally picks up the latest Spider-Man blu-ray, you’ll receive points for buying the movie towards your Play On rewards account, and those points can be used towards Sony computers, TVs, camcorders, Playstations, Playstation Plus, Playstation Network in-store cash, etc.

Users who buy items through the Playstation Store or Sony store will earn 1 point per dollar spent. To put into perspective, it takes 19,999 points to trade for a Playstation 3 system and 5,999 points to get some of the newest games for PS3, like Batman: Origins and Battlefield 4.

For a limited time, Sony is giving 100 points to everybody who signs up before November 12, 2013. So, Sony customers, do you plan on signing up for this new Sony Rewards system? Are you interested in getting points for your purchases for use on other Sony products? If so, go grab your account now!
