Sony Announces MatterFall Exclusively for the PlayStation

Sony made some important announcements regarding the future projects that gamers should be expecting from them during their conference at Paris Games Week. Amongst them was the announcement of Sony’s MatterFall which will be a PlayStation exclusive.

A trailer revealed that this is one Sci-Fi shooter that you do not want to miss out on.

MatterFall will be developed by Housemarque, the studio that is famous for the addicting and colorful, Resogun. In traditional Housemarque style, it is to be expected that MatterFall will take some form of arcade shooting style. The trailer is packed with colorful, exploding action as the character manifests a weapon out of his arm and blows apart his enemies.

According to a PlayStation blog post that revealed a few more pieces of this mysterious shooter, the player follows an unforeseen hero who must fight against the deadly alien matter called “Smart Matter” that has infected and ravished the world. You will have a power over this smart matter and must use it to your advantage in this war and save humanity.

No further information was released in regards to the details of what kind of weapons, enemies, or what the exact gameplay mechanics will be like. No firm release date was given either at the time of this trailer. Hopefully in the near future Sony will make further announcements for MatterFall. For now, immediate fans of the Sci-Fi shooter can over-analyze the announcement trailer for clues and fun facts about the game.
