If you’re a fan of the stylish downloadable brawler Skullgirls and enjoy the eclectic tunes playing in the background while pounding away at your opponents, you’ll be happy to know that the game’s soundtrack is now available through iTunes and CDBaby.com. The Skullgirls Soundtrack features music by Michiru Yamane, the famed composer behind the soundtracks for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as well as Suikoden IIIand IV, marking the first time a Japanese composer has produced music for a US developed game. Reverge Labs’ audio director, award-winning game composer Vincent Diamante, as well as composers Blaine McGurty and Brenton Kossak also round out the production which includes 28 tracks.
Skullgirls features eight female fighters in a stylized “dark deco” world designed by artist Alex “o_8” Ahad, battling each other for control of a mysterious artifact known as the Skull Heart, which grants wishes…but at a terrible price. The soundtrack is now available through iTunes and CDBaby.com for $9.99. Skullgirls is also now available through Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store.
