Saints Row IV Surpasses Expectations and Tops Sales Charts

Deep Silver and Volition has announced that Saints Row IV is a hit! The newest iteration of the Saints Row series is quickly selling beyond its predecessors, and expectations, and tripled its PC sales over Saints Row: The Third. Saints Row IV has sold through more than one million of its units in the first retail week. Saints Row IV led most of the sales charts in more of the European countries in its first week. In the United Kingdom, Germany, and Benelux, Saints Row IV captured the top spot on all platforms!

Safe to say it is a commercial success for Deep Silver and Volition. Klemens Kundratitz, the CEO of parent company Koch Media said, “We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row IV as a critical and now a commercial success. The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family.”

Along with the great sales numbers, Saints Row IV has been receiving great reviews from sites like Destructoid.com awarding the game a 9.5 out of 10, and The Escapist giving the title a 5 out of 5 score. Saints Row has definitely shed its Grand Theft Auto clone and has found its own identity as a creative action-packed sandbox that contains humor, and fun you won’t find in any other games.

Saints Row IV is now available on PlayStation 3, PC,and Xbox 360.
