For those itching to dust off their Nintendo 3DS handhelds, there’s some good news today. Capcom has released Resident Evil Revelations, marking the return of fan favorites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, as Miss Valentine, along with newcomer Parker Luciani, must track down a missing Mr. Redfield on an “abandoned” Mediterranean cruise ship.
Revelations features episodic gameplay, similar to a TV show, as players attempt to find Redfield, the source of the T-Virus, and learn more about a terrorist organization called Veltro.
Revelations is also the franchise’s first entry into the world of 3D gaming, having been built from the ground up for the Nintendo handheld.
This marks the first of two big name Resident Evil games to release this year, the other, of course, being Resident Evil 6 this November. Here’s to hoping Revelations can hold us over for nine months. Check back for our impressions of the game soon.
