Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Trailer Showcases True Horror

Following this week’s news on Capcom’s episodic plan for Resident Evil: Revelations 2, a diabolical trailer has now gone public. Be prepared for some tense cinematic action with the Miss-Zombie-Killing-Baddass, Claire Redfield.

The trailer attempts to unveil some brief plot points for the backstory of the game. Claire Redfield can be seen at a Terra Save welcoming party for the young Moira Burton. Handshakes and idled talks are cut short however, when armed forces crash the gathering and Claire soon awakens inside an eerie abandoned facility.

The new zombies, The Afflicted, look to be a formidable and terrifying threat. Slow zombies are clearly a thing of the past. These Afflicted can be seen throwing objects, running down narrow corridors and even jumping towards Claire’s position. We might be in for a rude awakening when facing these monstrosities. What’s more, a geiger counter type device is strapped tight on Claire’s wrist. One can only assume that the green light indicates the area is clear while a red flash represents nearby danger.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set to release early next year as four weekly episodes for just $5.99 each. If you want to grab some additional gameplay content – most likely a few weapons and outfits – you can opt to purchase the Complete Season Pass for $24.99 or wait until the retail version hits shelves with even more additional content a month after release for $39.99.
