It has been confirmed by Sony that, the online multiplayer portion of Resistance 3 will require a online pass. Similar to titles such as, Mortal Kombat, the code will only be redeemable once. The pass will come with a brand new copy of the game. However if you purchase the game used, you will then have to purchase the pass code either through special retailers or, the PSN store. Resistance 3 will be the first title to use this new PSN Pass. An from the rate that things are going, I’m thinking that we will see more online passes in the future.
Resistance is one of my favorite franchises for the PS3, and I wouldn’t mind having to use an online pass. Simply because, I know for a fact that I’m buying it whether it has an online pass or not.
