Computer gamers know Razer for their gaming peripherals, mice, headsets, speakers, keyboards, etc., but now it seems their targeting a new new audience: Streamers. With the rise of Twitch and Youtube streamers and LPers, Razer is trying to get a piece of the market with their recently announced Razer Seiren, which they claim is a microphone capable of studio-grade quality at $179.99 for the.microphone or $229.99 for microphone, shock mount, and pop filter.
Min-Liang Tan, CEO of Razer, claims the Razer Seiren has been out for a while now and in use by notable streamers: “Some of you may have noticed that the top streamers and YouTubers out there have been streaming behind a black card to hide the Seiren for the past couple of months – but the secret is now out!”
The Razer Seiren sports a form similar to the Blue Yeti, but has a noticeably sleeker look. It features three 14mm condenser capsules, responds to frequencies ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz, has a sensitivity of 4.5mV/Pa at 1kHz, a maximum SPL of 120dB, and a built in headphone amplifier.
It’s a very capable piece of equipment, that’s visually pleasing to boot.
