Razer’s very first store, handily named RazerStore, in America is taking over the Bay Area with plenty of ways to enhance your gaming experience.
Soon to be coming to you live from the Westfield San Francisco Centre, RazerStore will be in the business of offering a whole bunch of gaming products for use and purchase. The store will cover two floors, or about 1,300 square feet, and will offer plenty of hands-on time with the various products including over 20 game stations. PC and console set-ups will be available, as well as a few big screens to catch the attention of those walking by on the sidewalk outside.
Beyond the sales of Razer goods, there will also be invites to just stick around and play games, or to come to weekly gaming tournaments held on location. Other RazerStores, opened first in Taipei followed by Manila and Bangkok, opened with similar fanfare, all of which just recently opened their doors this year.
This weekend’s opening ceremonies will include “exciting events,” contests, exclusive merchandise, and premium products. May 21 at 10 AM local time is when the public can see what all the RazerStore madness up close and personal. Anyone in the area can drop by 865 Market Street to step inside, or just to watch some gaming action from a bench on the sidewalk.

The store will cover nearly 1,300 square feet over two levels. More than 20 gaming stations with the latest hardware from Razer and its partners will be available for anyone to use. Those stations will include PC gaming and console set-ups, audio listening stations and other product showcases. A 16-foot by 9-foot streaming video wall will display gameplay and other content to onlookers inside and outside the store. Store patrons are invited to stay all day and play games on-site. RazerStore San Francisco will also be running regular gaming events weekly onsite. Razer began the search for a suitable retail location for a RazerStore near its global headquarters across from Moscone Center following the successful launch of RazerStores abroad, which included one location that attracted a line of more than 2,000 fans that camped overnight for the opening day. The street-level space at Westfield San Francisco Centre proved the perfect solution for convenience, technological resources, amenities and the space needed for Razer to meet its game-loving guests. “San Francisco is a unique global epicenter of creativity, technology and entertainment, and it’s our home town, so creating a phenomenal environment for gamers here was a very special endeavor,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “We are happy to say that the SF RazerStore foots the bill in every way, and we are excited to open our doors to our fans in the Bay Area.” Similar to other RazerStores, the newest location is focused on giving gamers a real hands-on, immersive gaming experience by showing them the possibilities that come with the right technology and providing them with a place where they can engage with each other. To further celebrate the inauguration of RazerStore San Francisco, opening weekend will include exciting events and opportunities for gamers to get their hands on premium Razer products, such as T-Shirts, L33t packs, and for the lucky contest winners, Razer mice, keyboards, headsets and more. The Westfield San Francisco Centre is located in San Francisco at 865 Market St., San Francisco CA 94103. Razer opened its first store in Asia in May of this year at Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei. It followed-up with RazerStore locations in Manila and Bangkok.[/toggle]
