Rainbow Six: Siege Release Date Gets Pushed Back

The developers of the game have announced that the Rainbow Six: Siege release date will be pushed back to December 1st, 2015.

The developers at Ubisoft studios have been keeping a blog in which they detail the development process and any issues they might have with the game. Through this blog (and the beta) they also receive a lot of player feedback. The newest update has been specifically on the Rainbow Six: Siege release date which will be getting pushed back ever so slightly. The reason for this? According to the developers, they want to ensure the quality of the game.

In fact, Ubisoft are saying that,

“This wasn’t an easy decision, but based on the feedback we’ve received, and based on our own internal tests, we felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make, including improving the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation. We’re taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it’s the right call.”

Thus, the closed beta date (September 24th, 2015) will remain the same while the Rainbow Six: Siege release date will be pushed back slightly. This will allow for the developers to address all the possible issues that have been witnessed in the alpha. Players can already sign up for an open beta if they are itching to play this game.

Delaying the final product, though, will only ensure better quality of gameplay and more features for this game. It will, however, affect the sales, either positively or negatively, as this will put the game’s release in the last month of the year. This means the game will be in the “Christmas territory” and will either decimate its competition or lose to the many games that will be released around that date. Only time and fans will be able to determine the success of a clearly well-polished game.
