Press Start: What We Played for Week 32

Welcome fanatics to Press Start! This is a weekly editorial that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics have been playing. No spoilers on the newer games that we’re playing but we will give you a quick insight on how good or bad it is. Games will range from retro to new, casual to FPS, we play it all!

I recently downloaded Hitman: Absolution from PlayStation Plus and I have a serious problem. I cannot put it down! Its so bad that when I’m at work and I see “No Trespassing”, I immediately look to take them out and dress in their clothes to proceed. But seriously, I love that you have so many options on how to do a hit, and each has a different outcome. I’m also was playing Jet Set Radio, which is just a huge can of nostalgia. Still a great game. I wish more games were unique like that.

Darrin:

Played the demo for The Wonderful 101 (check out my impressions article!) and really enjoyed it. Looks like a solid Wii U exclusive. Also still working through Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Rogue Legacy, both on PC, and really excited for DuckTales Remastered on August 13th!

Ben:

Played through Pikmin 3 and really really enjoyed it. I’ve been a Pikmin fan since the very beginning and this was a really nice blend of the first two while adding in some new things. Basically, if you have a Wii U, you have no excuse not to pick it up.

Arnell:

I finally beat EarthBound (Wii U VC)! I totally understand why a lot of people really love this game. My one wish was that I played it when it originally came out because I know I would have liked it a lot more. I also picked up Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. That game, that series in general, is so dang charming. Can’t wait to spend more time with this one.
