Press Start: What We Played for Week 28

Welcome fanatics to Press Start! This is a weekly editorial that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics have been playing. No spoilers on the newer games that we’re playing but we will give you a quick insight on how good or bad it is. Games will range from retro to new, casual to FPS, we play it all!

Jeff:

Casually playing Minecraft on the 360, and I mean casually. I’ve had the game for a month now and I’ve just found gold, which I couldn’t resist making into silly, useless pants.

Arnell:

Poured more hours into Project X Zone. Almost done. I also downloaded the 4 new Mii Plaza games for the 3DS. I recommend buying all of them if you’re big into collecting Miis via StreetPass. And the original Metroid came out on the Wii U’s VC. I’ve beaten that game so many times that I finally used and beat it using JUSTIN BAILEY. Never did that before.

Metroid

Jen:

Played and finished Walking Dead: 400 Days. The DLC is super short but oh so worth it! I want more. Also played some DDR, SWTOR and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

Greg:

Finished The Witcher 1 for the second time. Started Witcher 2 for the first time. Only a couple hours in and completely blown away.

Ben:

Played a bunch of random things I picked up in the steam sale. Some Borderlands 2 as DLC character Gaige, Legend of Grimrock, Surgeon Simulator 2013, Antichamber, and Spec Ops: The Line. All are great little time wasters to add to the list of games I will probably never finish. Also this week, I got into the Final Fantasy 14 Realm Reborn beta thing and I really have been enjoying it. I’m not that big into MMOs but the fact that I can sit back and play it with a controller is awesome. Plus it feels like they cut out some of the usual mmo boring filler crap. It’s not perfect but it has a certain charm to it.
