Square Enix is back and came through with some more insight into what’s been announced as well as the first look into some new IP’s. Heres our recap of what went down in the Square Enix Showcase at E3 2018.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay Trailer

Their presentation kicked off showing the beginning of the newest entry in the Tomb Raider series as Lara begins her race to stop a Mayan apocalypse. The newest gameplay shows off what they call “Becoming One With The Jungle”. This creates new mechanics for stealth combat having Lara now blend in with walls of shrubbery, induce her enemies with fear using scare tactics and her bow, and become the apex predator in the jungle. With new traversal techniques, full underwater exploration, and survival, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is shaping up to be the best entry yet.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available September 14th, 2018.

Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood x Monster Hunter World Crossover

With the announcement of the “Under the Moonlight” Patch for this MMO juggernaut comes a surprise crossover with Capcoms major franchise Monster Hunter World.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit

Unveiled yesterday at Microsoft’s press conference, this new adventure takes place in the cinematic universe of Life is Strange and is free for all come June 26th.

Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age “The Legend of Luminar” Trailer

Weild the Light in this newest trailer for the highly anticipated Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, available in stores September 4th, 2018. There will also be a collaboration event coming to the mobile game Final Fantasy: Brave Exuvius.

Babylons Fall Trailer

This new IP developed by Platinum Games is set to come out in 2019

NieR Automata: Become As Gods Edition

Unveiled yesterday at the Microsoft press conference, NieR: Automata will be coming to the Xbox One, fully enhanced for the Xbox One X and including all previously released DLC June 26th, 2018

Octopath Traveler Trailer

A new trailer has been unveiled for the Nintendo Switch exclusive JRPG Octopath Traveler, coming July 13th 2018.

Just Cause 4 Trailer

Ultimate sandbox carnage is back in Just Cause 4. With the addition of Extreme weather such as Tornados, Lightning, and Sandstorms, the world is always going to be changing. New vehicles and handling for vehicles are coming as well as more tethers for your grapple, new air lifters, and fully reworked AI enemies to always keep Rico on his toes.

Just Cause 4 will be released December 4th, 2018

The Quiet Man

This new IP looks to change the game coming to PlayStation 4 & PC

Kingdom Hearts III

This similar trailer to yesterdays unveiled at the Microsoft Press Conference includes the newly announced Frozen world, Gummi ship levels, and some insight to what characters we’ll be seeing in this long-awaited conclusion to Sora’s story. This new trailer shows a bit more insight into the state of Twilight Town, Roxas, and shows us our first glimpse of Ratatouille world. Kingdom Hearts III is finally set to release January 29th, 2018.

There was no word on the state of Final Fantasy VII Remake but overall still some great insight into what Square Enix is working on.
