Press Start | What We Played

Welcome to Press Start where every week we talk about the games that we here at The Game Fanatics have been playing.

Jen:

Most of my gaming time has been taken up by Forza 5. Love that game and I also hate it at times. My hate comes from the driveavatars. Those that race against me are nasty and drive dirty. It does pose a challenge at time and then those other times it brings frustration. I don’t like getting hit Burnout-style while playing Forza. Now I miss playing Burnout and hopefully we’ll see a new Burnout game similar to Burnout 3. And then there is Killer Instinct. Great fighting game but I get kicked out to the dashboard instead of starting a match-up. This doesn’t happen often thankfully. I await a fix! I would also like to have more characters (Spinal).

Matt:

Just beat the main storyline of Dragon’s Crown this weekend. Very solid game, and I really enjoyed my time with it. My only complaint is that the “depth” offered by the game mostly consists of repeat battles with the same enemies at higher levels. Moving onto Tales of Xillia now, which is absolutely gorgeous so far. Really digging the integrated animated cinematography.

Ben:

I finished up playing Super Mario 3D World. Man, that game is so creative and fun. I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would. Definitely one of my favorite games of the year. Then I picked up Saints Row IV because it was on sale and it is amazing. I’ve already spent far too many hours simply running and jumping through the city collecting random junk. It’s a lot of fun.
