Point of Impact – New Image Comics Miniseries in October

Point of Impact, a new miniseries from Image Comics is set for an October release.  The creator of Near Death, Jay Faerber, and artist Koray Kuranel, bring a tale of mystery, chronicling Nicole Rafferty’s death, and linking together her husband, a lover he didn’t know about, and a friend as the tale unravels and the truth surfaces.

Faerber, the writer, says of the story, “Point of Impact was born out of the idea that a person can be different things to different people.”  The writer has promised action and intrigue, in keeping with the murder mystery tradition, and looks to explore the different ways people behave, depending on who’s watching.

An example of Kuranel’s art style.

In the art department, artist Kuranel will be illustrating in the gritty black and white characteristic of mysteries.  “Koray is a fantastic artist recommended to me by my old friend and collaborator, Yildiray Cinar,” says Faerber, and has commented on the level of skill Kuranel has in creating stories with his art.

The four-part comic is set to start with issue one in October and will be available for pre-order in August.
