New Trailer for The Wonderful 101 Reveals Story Details

If you’re excited for the Wii U-exclusive The Wonderful 101, you’ll be happy to hear about some new details revealed by a new trailer. Platinum Games‘ new Pikmin-meets-superheroes adventure looks just as frantic as ever, according to a new preview by Destructoid, and the trailer tells us the group is actually made up of a bunch of heroes from across the world, united by Earth’s governments to repel alien invasions.

The dialogue between characters is, at times, hilarious, as the visuals invoke Viewtiful Joe and the Power Rangers. The action is both ridiculous and awesome — in the trailer, the hero known as Wonder-eyes Red saves a runaway school bus by using various methods to bounce it in the air — and it seems like segments just like that also have you racing the clock, so not only is it insane, but the developers make sure you won’t have time to do anything other than laugh and play on.

The Wonderful 101 is just one of a strong lineup of games (finally) hitting Wii U this fall, and if the trailers and previews are to be believed, it’s looking to be a very fun game worthy of your attention. The Wonderful 101 will hit the Wii U on September 15th.
