As EA’s next top-tier racing title, there’s a lot of grand expectation weighing on the shoulders of SHIFT 2 Unleashed and all eyes will be on developer Slightly Mad Studios as the team not only tries to follow in the footsteps of the excellent Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and the previous SHIFT title, but also successfully incorporate the social online technology AutoLog, as well as meet the lofty claims of being ‘the most realistic racer’ available.
I don’t envy them one bit.
All signs are pointing towards an exiting, adrenaline-fuelled racing experience, though, and by the looks of the latest screenshots and two new videos introducing us to the technology and career system in the game, SHIFT 2 Unleashed will more than live up to the potential and promise:
SHIFT 2 Unleashed is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 24th and 25th in Europe and the UK respectively, and March 29th in North America.
